Literature Text

Dream sweet, little child, sleep tight
Throughout the ever dark night
Watching over your sleep will be the light
Of the tingling stars so bright

You can turn the lights down
You mustn't fear the monsters' frown
For you can smother the pitch black around
When you dress it in good-night sleeps gown

When you awake in the morn I'll be there
My hand will gently stroke your hair
Coaxing you from the dream worlds lair
Hoping you won't force me to tear

Sleep long little child, sleep till dawn
It won't be long till morning shall come
Even if the time seems oh so long
In the end you will yet hear the larks song
I spent some time with my dement grandma today and she would always sing with me. So at some point I started singing her a song that started about like this. And when I came home, I decided to write it out ^^

Okay, I know it's terrible, but when I think of where its origin lies, it's still rather important to me to have this out there.
